Expedia: Earns a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign 2022 Corporate Equality Index

Expedia Group tops the rankings for the sixth consecutive year

on the assessment of LGBTQ+ equality in the workplace

SEATTLE, Wash,January 27, 2022 – Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) announced that Expedia Group has been awarded a score of 100 on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmark survey and report that measures company policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ equality in the workplace. The 2022 CEI results show how 1,271 US-based companies are promoting LGBTQ+ friendly workplace policies in the US and helping advance the cause of LGBTQ+ inclusion in workplaces abroad.

The CEI assesses employers who provide this critical protection to more than 20 million U.S. employees and an additional 18 million abroad. Companies rated in the CEI include Fortune Magazine’s 500 largest publicly traded companies, American Lawyer Magazine’s 200 most profitable law firms (AmLaw 200), and hundreds of public and private medium-to-large companies.

The CEI assesses companies against detailed criteria that fall under four central pillars:

  • Non-discrimination policy between business entities;

  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;

  • Supporting an inclusive culture; and,

  • Corporate Social Responsibility.
