The story begins during a winter vacation in the titular Swiss hotel. Here, 11-year-old Ava (played by Bobbie Mulder) finds herself wishing her overprotective parents (Jeroen Spitzenberger and Elise Schaap) would just leave. The next morning at breakfast, all the adults have suddenly disappeared. And so the party begins: the children can do whatever they want! Led by a remarkably childish boy named Jonas, they get a little carried away and a dangerous situation ensues that plunges the entire hotel into darkness. Ava and her new friends search for their parents in the midst of a massive snow storm so they can celebrate Christmas together.

Charlotte HenskensDirector of International Sales at DFW International, told Cineuropa: “We are very pleased to partner with Keplerfilm on Hotel Sinestra.
