🌱 Franklin Man Accused Of Shooting Officer + Flights Canceled

  1. The Franklin Board of Zoning Appeals approved a variance request on Thursday night from the Heritage Foundation. The request was for Franklin Grove’s Hall to face the gardens on the property at 423 S Margin Street instead of a public street, private street, or internal drive. The board unanimously approved the request. (williamsonherald.com)
  2. A Franklin man was charged after the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says he shot one of their deputies. Police say they tried to stop a car for expired tags, but the driver, 35-year-old Samuel Bennett, kept driving. During a pursuit, Bennett is accused of firing three shots and one hit a deputy in the shoulder. (WSMV Nashville)
  3. The massive winter storm impacted thousands of flights this week, including dozens at the Nashville International Airport (BNA). On Friday, dozens of departures flights out of BNA were canceled and more than 30 arrival flights were also canceled. The airport is asking customers to check their flights before arriving.
