Life here in the UK feels mostly back to ‘normal’ since the majority of Covid measures were removed, but those traveling abroad must be aware of the different rules and restrictions still in place. Travelers should be aware of the expectations when arriving at their country of destination, as well as the rules in place for them when they return to England.
The rules in place for arrivals here in England are dependent on vaccination status. Vaccinated arrivals do not need to take any travel tests before coming to England or after arrival, and do not need to quarantine.
Unvaccinated travelers must take a Covid test within the two days before traveling to England, and take a PCR test after arrival. All arrivals must complete a passenger locator form, unless they are traveling from Russia or Ukraine.
Take a look at the rules and restrictions in place for those traveling from England to the USA, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica and Barbados.

The USA is now welcoming foreign visitors after previously closing their borders throughout much of the pandemic.
Fully vaccinated foreign nationals can enter the country without needing to quarantine. It is recommended that they take a viral test within three to five days of arrival.
Most passengers, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to show proof of a negative test before boarding a flight to the US.
Unvaccinated travelers can not enter the country unless they have an exception or are a US Citizen, US National, or US Lawful Permanent Resident.
If you’re not fully vaccinated but have tested positive for Covid in the last year you still cannot enter the USA unless you meet one of the exceptions.
Fully vaccinated foreign nationals may enter Canada for all reasons such as tourism, but they must take a pre-travel Covid test no more than 72 hours before arrival.
Travelers must also have no Covid symptoms, submit their information via ArriveCAN, and take a test on arrival if selected.
Children under the age of five are exempt from the pre-departure test.
Foreign nationals who don’t qualify as fully vaccinated will only be allowed to enter in specific circumstances.
Unvaccinated travelers who qualify to enter must self-isolate for 14 days on arrival and will be subjected to further testing.

All travelers to Barbados must present a negative Covid test taken no more than three days before travel.
If you arrive in Barbados from the UK without a valid negative test, you may be denied entry to the country.
Fully vaccinated travelers will not be subject to testing or quarantine on arrival. Once they have completed a health check and their documentation has been validated, they will be free to move around Barbados unhindered.
Unvaccinated arrivals will have to quarantine at approved facilities, such as a designated holding hotel, approved villa or a government facility at their own expense, and undergo a second PCR test four days after arrival.
Travelers will need to remain in their hotel room and may be required to wear an electronic tracking bracelet until they receive the results of the second test.
