HAMMOND, La. † The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team returns to Southland Conference action with a three-game series this weekend against Incarnate Word at Sullivan Field in San Antonio, Texas.
Games are set for 6:30 pm Friday, 6:30 pm Saturday and 1 pm Sunday. It is the only regular-season trip to the state of Texas in 2022 for SLU (8-17, 0-3 SLC). UIW (11-11, 1-2 SLC) will offer a video stream of all three games.
Fans in the Hammond area can also listen to the entire series on the flagship station of the Southeastern Sports Radio Network – KSLU 90.9 FM – in addition to online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via both the Lions Gameday Experience, Mixlr and MyTuner radio apps. The MyTuner app is compatible with the Apple CarPlay software available in most late model automobiles. Fans should search for SLU Athletics (Mixlr) or Southeastern Sports Radio Network (MyTuner).
Will Kinzeler (2-0, 1.89), a sophomore right-hander from Covington, Louisiana, takes the ball for SLU in the opener against Cardinal senior right-hander Michael Garza (2-3, 5.20).
Freshman left hander Adam Guth (1-1, 4.60) draws the Lions’ starting assignment Saturday opposite UIW junior right-hander Isaiah Zavala (1-3, 9.41).
