Disney+ Subscribers Can Save On A Walt Disney World Vacation

Disney has offered a new perk to those with Disney+ subscriptions–a discount on a Walt Disney World vacation. This new deal was announced yesterday and offers Disney+ subscribers up to 25% off select Disney Resort hotels for stays most nights July 8 through September 30, 2022.

Now this says one of two things to me. Either the bookings are down for Walt Disney World or they are trying to give an incentive to get people to subscribe to Disney+.

If I were to bet it has more to do with gaining Disney+ subscribers given they have a subscribe now button right in the offer:

Recently a lot of people have been canceling their Disney+ over current political drama surrounding the company. That may have something to do with the offer. It could also be that they need to pull in higher subscriber numbers after they already used their one time automatic combination offer of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN on subscribers to combine numbers.

Either way, if you have Disney+ and you want to go to Walt Disney World, you are in luck! Especially as it’s giving the discount during the really busy summer season. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will also be open by then and that might be even more appealing to potential guests.

Here’s what you can save:

There are various discounts depending on which type of hotel you want to go to.

25% applies to: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Riviera Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

20% off applies to: The Cabins at Fort Wilderness, Disney’s Art of Animation Family Suites, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort both French Quarter and Riverside.

15% off applies to: Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

10% off applies to: The Campsites at Fort Wilderness, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Now for the fine print:

If you were wanting to go on a trip paying the monthly Disney+ fee to save possibly hundreds on a room seems like a good deal. It’s also why I think this is Disney trying to get it’s subscriber numbers up.

It could be a win-win for many.
